Nightstop Teesside provides emergency temporary accomodation for homeless young people between the ages of 16 and 25 in the homes of trained volunteer hosts.
We are a charitable organisation affiliated to NIGHTSTOP UK, that helps to provide emergency accommodation for these young people for up to three nights, offering them a safe, warm and understanding home environment in a Volunteer’s house. We have staff available to aid the young person after their nightstop to sign post them to other agencies, make appointments for them and help with benefit applications etc.
NIGHTSTOP TEESSIDE also provides a
longer term solution to homelessness for young people aged between 16 and
20 years old, with our ‘Supported Lodgings Scheme’, where a trained
Supported Lodgings householder would be willing to offer a young person a
home for up to two years. Aided by dedicated support workers we help them
learn and develop independent living skills.
